Central Florida Top Brewer is a Beer Fest unlike any other. It is designed to showcase the talents and creativity of our local Florida breweries.
In the past few years, Central Florida breweries have grown exponentially and proven there is a lot of talent here in our own back yard. The beer festival will be a take on a"Top Chef" style competition. Brewers will draw one grain, one hop and two miscellaneous ingredients. Brewers must brew a beer that includes all ingredients that were drawn.
Along with their competition beer, breweries will be bringing along some of their favorite and special beers to share with you. Come out and see what the best of Central Florida has to offer!
On March 29th, over 30 of Central Florida’s best breweries will descend upon Bowigens Beer Company to participate in the inaugural drawing for Central Florida Top Brewer.
Through four rounds, brewers drew a list of ingredients consisting of one hop, one malt and two specialty ingredients. The rules are simple; you must brew a beer that includes all four ingredients. There are no other limitations on style, process or ingredients. The combinations ranged from very complimentary to extremely challenging. At the end of the day, each brewer walked away with their list, tasked to brew a great beer with what was thrown at them.
This will be a beer festival unlike any other. A panel of judges as well as YOU, the crowd, will determine the title of Top Brewer. Upon entry, you will receive three tokens to vote for your favorite beers. Along with their competition beers, breweries will be bringing along their favorites, as well as some special beers to share with you. This is one beer festival you won’t want to miss!
The festival was a great success and continues to grow bigger each year, looking forward to the 3rd annual one in 2019!!!
Friends of the Park is a not for profit 501 (C)3 volunteer group interested in beautifying parks and other public spaces in the Casselberry area. Projects include tree plantings, park and shoreline clean-ups, beautification projects and other community efforts. Friends of the Park works closely with other organizations and hold events of their own within the community. Run-Yak, "Get Outdoors Casselberry", illuminArt, and Earth-Fest to name some.
During both scheduled and special work events, volunteers plant trees, remove non native invasive plants, plant native species, pick-up litter, and clean up shorelines. Friends of the park provides community service opportunities to many individuals and groups. Since 1999, they have recorded more than 6,000 volunteers.
We invite you to take part of enhancing and protecting the natural environment of the Casselberry community. As we further develop and help maintain our parks, neighborhoods and waterways, we will continue to partner with local businesses, residents, schools, civic groups and other volunteer organizations to beautify our City. We encourage you to get involved by helping out at any of our upcoming projects. Also, please let us know how Friends of the Park can help your organization.
