Rock N' Blues Concert & Cars

Mike Zito

Rock N’ Blues Concert & Car Show

Show your love for Rock and  Blues at the upcoming Rock N’ Blues Concert & Car Show held on Memorial Day Weekend on Saturday, May 27 from 5-9 p.m. at Lake Concord Park. This FREE event, sponsored by the radio station 105.9 SUNNY FM, will feature the amazing Mike Zito and Band.

Zito co-founded the Royal Southern Brotherhood that features Cyril Neville, Devon Allman, Charlie Wooten and Yonrico Scott and went on to major international success. In 2012, Zito debuted his new band “The Wheel,” and its 2014 album “Gone to Texas” was nominated for a Blues Music Award. In 2015, the band released “Keep Coming Back” and Zito has been on the road ever since.

"I love the blues, I love rock 'n' roll and I love country music. It's what I do and who I am," Zito said.  "Having fun and playing music you love and believe in."

Opening up for Zito will be Tony Sheridan and the Wild Angels and Paul Stott and Band.  Besides the music, there will be more than 150 classic cars, muscle cars, and hot rods for car enthusiasts to enjoy. There will be a contest for best car. For more information, call 407-262-7700 ext. 1507.

As part of this Memorial Weekend celebration, the City will again honor all veterans for their service with a color guard display and plaque.

About Us

Who we are...

Friends of the Park is a volunteer group interested in beautifying parks and other public spaces in the Casselberry area.  Projects include tree plantings, park and shoreline clean-ups, beautification projects and other community efforts. Friends of the Park works closely with other organizations and hold events of their own within the community.  Run-Yak, "Get Outdoors Casselberry", illuminArt, and Earth-Fest to name some.

What we do...

During both scheduled and special work events, volunteers plant trees, remove non native invasive plants, plant native species, pick-up litter, and clean up shorelines.  Friends of the park provides community service opportunities to many individuals and groups.  Since 1999, they have recorded more than 6,000 volunteers.

Letter From Our President...

We invite you to take part of enhancing and protecting the natural environment of the Casselberry community.  As we further develop and help maintain our parks, neighborhoods and waterways, we will continue to partner with local businesses, residents, schools, civic groups and other volunteer organizations to beautify our City.  We encourage you to get involved by helping out at any of our upcoming projects.  Also, please let us know how Friends of the Park can help your organization.

Colleen Hufford, -President of Friends of the Park
